Description
This nice $10 legal tender coin is the first one, which holds an antique piece of glass in resin. The Glass, mouth blown in Great Britain, resting on the floor of the Ocean since 1743. Sunken in heavy stormy weather on board of the East Indiaman “Princess Louisa” as highly valued items – brandy and wine bottles on her way to India.
The force of the water at the reef damaged the bottles, just the debris remains. Nevertheless the glass shards are memorable, unique parts coming from an age of real challenge and adventure when travelling the Ocean.
A very nice gift for Collectors of Ships on Coins, Sailing fans, in History interested people, Shipwreck coins & artefact collectors and many other’s … Useful as a paperweight, or displayed on a Board – for those where it is difficult to make a present as well. An exciting curiosity for our collecting clients.
